When should I book?
Before November if you want a seasonal spot. Routes are grouped by neighbourhood, and those places fill first. One-time visits can be requested through the winter when I have room.
What starts a seasonal visit?
Snow of 2 cm or more. You do not have to call. One-time work happens only when you request it.
Do you clear the city sidewalk?
Yes, the sidewalk in front of the house. The city bylaw duty stays with the owner. Edmonton requires the sidewalk to be kept clear and accepts complaints after 48 hours without new snow. Beaumont and Leduc use a 48-hour rule. Corner lots add $10.00 each visit on a one-time clear, the seasonal route, a monthly package, or a visit pack, unless that package includes the corner. The full season price includes the corner lot, and it is not billed again per visit.
What about the windrow?
The ridge the city plow leaves across the driveway is cleared with the visit. There is no separate windrow fee.
How much is salting?
$5.00 per visit on a one-time clear, the seasonal route, a monthly package, or a visit pack, unless that package includes salting. The full season price includes salting, and it is not billed again per visit.
Which pack is the best rate?
8-visit pack is the lowest single-driveway rate at $36.00 a visit. That is $32.00 under 8 separate visits. Six visits are 5% under the driveway rate, and eight or more are 10% under. Corner lot and salting are still charged on the visit unless that pack includes them.
Can a pack be a different size?
Yes. I can change the visit count, the driveway prices, and whether corner lot or salting is included on a visit pack or a monthly package. A full season package always includes corner lot and salting. The site shows the packages that are marked public.
What is a monthly package?
One price for every triggering snowfall in a calendar month. A single driveway is $225.00, a double is $252.50, and a triple is $280.00. Extra storms that month are included.
What is a full season package?
One price for every triggering snowfall from November 1 to April 30. A single driveway is $1,633.50, a double is $1,782.00, and a triple is $1,930.50. Corner lot and salting are included in that price and are not billed again per visit. I always attempt the clear. If roads are closed, I am ill, equipment fails, or the house cannot be reached safely, I try to contract that portion out or refund the published rate for the part that was not cleared.
Do you take businesses?
No. This service is houses in Edmonton, Beaumont, and Leduc. Parking lots and plazas are not served.
What if I sign up mid-season?
You can join when the route has room. Seasonal billing starts with the visits I actually do. A visit pack, monthly package, or full season starts when it is invoiced.
