House snow clearing in Alberta

Refunds

Last updated October 28, 2026. These are the terms I use. They do not remove a right that Alberta or federal law does not let you give up.

You are not charged for a visit I do not do because of weather, roads, illness, equipment, or access. I always attempt the clear. If I cannot do it, I try to contract that portion out. You are not charged extra when someone else does it. If it is not contracted out, I refund the published rate for the part that was not cleared: the driveway, the corner lot, or the salting, when that part is its own charge. On a full season package, corner lot and salting are inside the package price and are not separate leftover charges. A pack credit is not used for a visit I do not finish.

A duplicate charge is refunded in full once I confirm it.

Packs, monthly packages, and the full season

Unused pack credits are refunded at the per-visit share of the driveway price you paid, to the nearest cent. A finished visit is not refunded because the work is done. Corner lot and salting billed as their own lines on a finished visit stay billed. If your pack price included those items, they are refunded only as part of an unused visit's share.

A monthly package is refunded in full if you cancel before the first visit of that month. After a visit in that month, that month is not refunded under the cancellation rule. A full season package is refunded in full before the first visit. After the first visit, the refund is one-sixth of the price you paid for each season month, November through April, that has not started. Corner lot and salting are included in that full season price. They are not separate leftover charges. A clear I do not do and do not contract out is still refunded at the published rate for that portion, including during a month that has started.

Seasonal service is billed only for finished visits. There is no unused-month rebate. Stopping the route ends future visits.

When a statute requires a full refund

If you cancel under the Internet Sales Contract Regulation, or under the direct-sales rules on the cancellation page, I refund all money you paid under that booking within 15 days. That refund is not limited to unused credits. Those rights apply in the cases the cancellation page describes, including a booking over $50 formed by email when the required disclosure or contract copy was missing, and an in-person contract away from my place of business.

Other refunds are also sent within 15 days after I confirm the amount. They go back by the same method when I can, or by e-transfer. Each refund is written on the invoice with the reason. I do not charge a cancellation fee.
